Juma Al Majid Est In~house Training Center

 

Juma Al Majid Group in 2005 established an In-house Training Center. It was strategically located within the facilities of its main workshop at Ras Al Khor, Dubai. The management’s vision for the Training Center is to create world class trainees by enhancing their knowledge and skills aligned with “Fix Right the First Time” principle.

Our mission is to provide high quality and up to date systematic training program in person with the use of multi-media and on-line technology to our technicians, service managers, supervisors, …. etc. to enhance their knowledge and skills.

To achieve the vision and mission, the Training Center was prepared using state of the art and updated training equipments, materials and vehicles to keep our staff updated with the latest technology in Automotive Industry.

Every year we conduct technical and non-technical trainings to our staff, business partners and special institutions.

Awards/recognition received:

The well equipped and arranged training center received several awards/recognitions from Kia Motors Corporation, the last award received was “2010 Excellence in Training” and “Best Technician in the World 2008.”

This training center has two (2) complete lecture rooms with complete facilities, one (1) power train (engine and gear) practice area, one (1) Electrical & electronics practice area, one (1) refreshment area and two (2) on-vehicle practice area.

Kia 4th Skill Worldcup 2008 – Korea
The first Kia Skill World Cup was held in 2002, the goal was to improve technician’s skills and to promote mutual understanding between Kia Motors and technicians.  The technical skills of the technicians are the most valuable asset of any service operation.  This competition will allow technicians to learn and understand the latest service technologies and demonstrate their capabilities by answering technical written & practical examinations and diagnosing common faults prepared by the Kia Engineers in the On-vehicle practice. 

Through this event, distributors and their staff will be motivated to achieve excellence in their technical service skills and have better understanding of Korea and Korean Culture.

Juma Al Majid EST technicians have participated and received recognition from previous Kia Skill World Cup.  Last 20th – 24th of April 2008, Juma Al Majid represented by Ahmed Al Abed (Technician) brought home from Korea “Kia World Best Technician Award” (Champion) against 55 participants from 44 countries.

 
 
Kia National Skill Cup 2008 – Dubai, UAE

Juma Al Majid Est conducted its National Skill Cup on 19th of November 2008 in Ras Al Khor in-house training center.  Sixteen technicians coming from 11 branches competed to be the best Kia technician all over UAE .  The competitors went thru 4 different types of examinations (Written test, Chassis practical test, Engine practical test and On-vehicle troubleshooting test).  At the end of the competition the winners received special gifts, certificates and medals during the awarding ceremonies.

The Winners were:

  First Place:  Andrew Domingo – Al Ramool Workshop
  Second Place:  Samer Kablawi – Ras Al Khor Workshop
  Third Place:  Jasib Parajuli – Ras Al Khor Workshop
  Special Award:  Jacob John – Al Qouz Workshop

Two technicians will represent Juma Al Majid Est in the Regional Skill Cup in 2009 (Place and date to be announced soon).  They need to win the regional cup for us to have a chance to bring back the “Kia World Best Technician Award” from Korea in 2010.
